NC Randonneurs is an informal coalition of active randonneurs and the clubs they represent, from all across the great state of North Carolina.

Randonneuring in North Carolina has a long tradition. The state’s first randonneurs were active in the North Carolina State Bicycle Club in Raleigh around 1980. The state’s first official brevets were run under International Randonneurs in 1983. Current Raleigh RBA Alan Johnson completed his first Super Randonneur series in 1984, including the Murphy to Manteo 1000K.

Notable NC Randonneurs include Doug Kirby of Charlotte, a 6-time Paris-Brest-Paris ancien. NC Randonneurs have ridden all over the world including Bulgaria, China, Alaska, London-Edinburgh-London, Boston-Montreal-Boston, the Gold Rush Randonnée in California, the Last Chance 1200k in Colorado, the Cascade 1200K in Washington, the Shenandoah 1200K in Virginia, and of course, Paris-Brest-Paris.
